Baby Elle. I have never had a more alert baby for a newborn session. Only 14 days old!! And Elle makes beautiful girl #3 for mom and dad. I wouldn't call myself a mindreader or anything but sometimes I get a feeling if it's a girl or a boy. Betsy and Ben waited to find out and on the day of Elle's birthday, as soon as I saw Betsy, I knew, GIRL!! Something just told me:o)

Betsy is so on top of things, because they waited to find out if the baby was a boy or girl they also waited to finish the baby room. 14 days later the room was ready with pink poke-a-dots and the cutest crib bedding made by Betsy's mom.

We have been out of town taking care of some very important business with the BEST photographers, getting family pictures and eating at the a wonderful Italian restaurant where Hughes couldn't decide between spaghetti and meatball or cheese pizza...what did the waitress bring Hughes? So now we wait for the blog post which will complete the longing in my heart for pictures of us being us. Bobbi showed me a few that WOW! Blew me away. I can't wait to show you all:o) In the meantime, lots to post...

Nick and Whitney had such a fun wedding with a great group of bridal party members. I was quite nervous never meeting Nick. Most of the time I do an engagement session so I can get to know the couple before the big day but my maternity leave didn't allow for the session. Nick is one of the funniest, sweetest grooms I have ever spent the day with and Whitney is so cute!!

I'm still laughing about this one, during the cake cutting Nick and Whitney cut their cake and as Whitney preceded to feed Nick, he starting eating her piece...Nick's look is priceless!

Another disclamer post...first there was the baby fever and now this, the following is a boudoir session so there is a really hot woman below. If hot women bother you don't go any further and plan on coming back later this week:o)

I really love these sessions because they are so much about the bride and only a small part for the groom. This bride is getting married this month and she is amazing enough to let me post some pictures. Her soon-to-be-groom wondered where his guitar was so she was busted. I can't show those pictures because I am keeping this PG...

Spontaneous moments are the best and rarely come during a boudoir session so when I asked for some hair fluffing a got a quick shot of this. My favorite boudior picture EVER! A little humor, a little mystery, a lot HOT!

Brad and Erica, wow what a great wedding! So many faimalar faces:o) Tommy and Lindsey click here and here, who are good friends with Matt, Tommy's bestman, and Meghan who you will see soon for their engagement pictures, I did Meghan's family pictures a few weeks ago and her cousins senior pictures, then Scott and Sarah are cousins of Erica and their engagement session is next month...holla Sarah!!! Hope all that wasn't too confussing:)

Back to the couple of the day, I recently had a interview and one of the quesitons was What is my most important tool? The answer, trust. If a couple knows they will have great pictures, even if I take them to some "different" places, the day is just that much better for them. Brad and Erica did exactly that and they were so easy going, had so much fun and didn't think twice when I asked them to go the a overgrown alley...you'll see.

Busy, busy around here, much of which I can't show you...lots of boudoir sessions and birth photography. I will post a wedding with lots of familiar faces Friday. I am also redesigning my website to match my blog because the light, fun and clean things I love about my blog, need to be part of my website. The most exciting! We are getting family pictures taken over the weekend by a favorite photographer of mine. Trav and I haven't had our pictures taken since our wedding which was almost 5 years ago and now we have some kids. Man, I know what you all go through before a session!! What to wear? Do I go with high heals or flip-flops? Straight or curly hair? Should Hughes get a hair cut? Glasses or no glasses for Trav?

One picture I will share, I met this family over a year ago so when I got the news that they were expecting baby #3 I couldn't wait to photograph their story. Love Dad walking his two girls to meet the baby. I am visiting them next week so you will have to wait and see if it was a boy or a girl;)

Sigh...I just don't know what to do with myself. This little baby will send anyone into baby fever so consider yourself warned before going any further:o)

Sometimes I just get a feeling about a couple, with Stephanie and Derek I totally got that feeling and my intuition was so right after spending the morning around downtown Chicago where Derek proposed to Stephanie. They are a perfect match, Stephanie is absolutely adorable and so energetic, always saying the cutest things and Derek is funny and kind.

The day started out on Navy Pier. How amazing are these colors?

This is when Stephanie and Derek asked if I had models on my blog because all the couples look so perfectly posed and beautiful. Nope, I've never had models on my site/blog, just real people doing what they to best, loving each other.

So why exactly can't I wait to see Stephanie in her wedding dress? Well besides the fact that she is going to be a knockout, she works at the best bridal store, Ultimate Bride. Will Stephanie be a glamousr bride, a classic bride, a romanitc bride, we will see;)

Lizzie is a nurse and Nate is a teacher. Together they are perfect and so warm, everything you want your nurse and teacher to be. Lizzie was so excited for the wedding day, I received a note that I carried with me all day, at the bottom was a request..."Most importantly tons of pictures of us having fun with the people we love!" Not a problem, Lizzie and Nate have LOTS and LOTS of people who love them and like to party!;)

I had the pleasure of the company and talent of Beth Berry. Along with the many fabulous images there were some funny ones of me bustling Lizzie's dress and talking with the groom but the best, me showing off my "photography yogo". Even I didn't know I could do this. Thanks Beth!

This family was so sweet and didn't mind a little rain. It poured moments before the session which made us think we would have to make a go for another day but the skies stayed clear for long enough.

It's no doubt were the adorable kids came from...

"The last time we did this was our wedding day!" I love getting pictures of just parents because it's true, most couples last pictures of just the two of them is on the wedding day. I'm out to change that;)

How amazing is this little girl AND the hair, makes me want to get a new do!
