Sometimes you meet people and instantly love them, Betsy and Zack are so full of life and connect so well together which I saw at our first meeting. Then we started talking about our dogs and the great personalities of Westie and Cairn Terriers...if you are lucky enough to have one in your life, you know how long we talked about them:) When Kansas City came up for the engagement session I got super excited because I have never photographed in the beautiful KC. It was a dream day for the session with the perfect blue sky and warm sun. Top that with Betsy and Zack, need I say more?!

5 years after getting married I still think about wedding locations and visiting the infinity pool outside the Nelson-Atkins Meusem made this my new dream wedding location...so if you are getting married here, call me:)

I'm just thrilled for your wedding this November! Can't wait to see you as a bride and groom:) 

I was going to simply write about how much I love Mallory and Emilie because they know my kids names and latest happenings through the blog and they are just so darn awesome to be around but I must say more. Say more about the impact every person and family I have the joy to photograph has in my life. Now as a mother myself, I feel as thought I don't follow the rules or look like most moms. Thankfully I have archived memories of my best friend's mom and my mother-in-law to help me make sense of this motherhood thing, categorized by sacrifice, heart-ships, unconditional love and have the best job in the whole wide world. I get to witness true love between couples, families, and mother and daughter.

Are Travis' cousins, well Cisco will be next month on the wedding day, and Kristi is just a year younger than Travis and I. Their engagement location choice thrilled me because I grew up a within a mile radius of the tunnel below my best friend and I sang "and I willl allllwaaaaays love yooooouoooouuu" and the blue building that once held a train repair shop a few blocks from my house. Add Kristi and Cisco in the mix of everyday scenery with a cloudy sky made their shoot so perfect. 

This might be my favorite engagement session picture ever. Kristi said it was like a nest...see what happens when you are willing to lay in sticks:):) You two are amazing!

Lucy was the winner of my Hawaii souvenir prize a few months back, it was easy to shop for her and the parents because I met them all back with Lucy was a newborn...a Hawaiian dress for Lucy and coffee for the parents because you asked:) Lucy is just as sweet as the first time I photographed this family.

They are in love, run marathons and like ice cream...so much in fact, they are forgoing cake at the wedding for an ice cream bar. Back to the marathons, anyone who runs in a marathon is superhuman and then top that with running as a couple!! They are in love:)
