I have great clients who are always referring their family and friends. Jennifer is a future sister-in-law of the first bride I get to photograph next year. It was so nice to get to know the grooms mom and sister so on the wedding day they are another friendly face.
Jennifer is very brave walking through the brush, filled with snakes and spiders, to get this shot.
I had a great time with this senior and her mom. Right from the first phone call with Alisa she reminded me of my little sister. My sister, 5 years younger, is usually mistaken for the older one of the two of us because she carries herself with so much grace and confidence. This comes from her love and experience dancing...Alisa is not different with her awards and committed years. Enjoy!!
The question I get asked from children to engagement sessions is what to wear? I always love black but more so I love color. Take note of Alisa's adorable wardrobe.
my favorite
Seniors are awesome!! Every session is different in itself but getting the chance to work with this age group turns everything upside down in a new way. Babies are precious, kids are unpredictable and couples radiate love while seniors want a session to define them. This possesses a challenge, which I am up for.
This session is close to me, I grew up in Edwardsville, IL just blocks away from this blue wall, graduated from EHS and now have a 17 year old that I am proud to have as a client. She is so independent and fun. I had a blast driving from location to location talking about who we know, which teachers we had and laughing with the little sister who helped to make distractions at each location:o)
It is scary to think that I have known Sam, Trav’s cousin, since she was 6 years old and now she is going to be a SENIOR!!! Family is always the best to photograph because you can give them a hard time. I have some new information from Aunt Peg that I will never forget. This lady would like to have 5 kids and a house full of little and big dogs in her future. This I will have to give her a hard time about for years to come.
Congratulations Sam!! Have fun in your last year of high school!
These girls reminded me how important it is to have a woman in my life…best friend, sister, mom, that I am proud of and thankful for.
I was slightly worried about the ice storm that came through the night before but kicked my SUV in 4-wheel drive knowing how beautiful ice makes everything. I couldn’t ask for a better first senior shoot. You stood underneath the icy trees that were cracking, walked up a slippery hill with sandals on, and sat on a chair covered in what else, but ice.
