Melissa has so much grace and is so put together, I knew this by the first few emails. She gave me the lowdown, including pictures, of how Melissa and Joe became a couple. Even what makes Joe so special to Melissa, "he always knows how to make me laugh, especially when I need it most". Come wedding day is was dark and rainy but with all of Melissa's DIY (most impressive dying her wedding shoes with Kool-aid, you read right Kool-aid), beauty and willingness to jump out of the limo between the rain showers for a few shots right by her grandparents general store, the wedding day was perfect and classic.

Meeting Miss Avery was overwhelming, so much joy and excitement. I've never experienced this feeling...learning about someone, praying for someone, and following the life of a person states away in an online journal, until Miss Avery. Sarah contacted me over a year ago asking some questions about photography and I have since grown to love this little soul and family through their blog. 

My favorite and also used for the American Heart Association Flyer, rock on Sarah!!

We all need a vacation to refresh our passion, making all the stress of deadlines, taxes:D, work, the hiccups of life, fall away. I took a "picture vacation" this evening, going through all the film negatives from Hawaii while listening to some Neko Case. It was just the trick I needed for all of the above AND my server going down. CPP is transferring to a larger server to handle the large amount of emails (I don't like to delete them). Does this make me a geek for being so excited about a server upgrade?! 

I've answered every single email in my inbox so if you have not received a reply, kindly send the email again and I will return your email at a lightning fast speed.

If you need a quick vacation, enjoy the small bit of ocean and music:)

Another exciting upgrade for CPP is a custom shinny blog. I can't wait to show you what ITDR helps create with you in mind...think large images, visible comments (because you spend the time leaving your love it should show vs. a small number at the bottom of each post), a playlist for what is rockin' in the studio and slideshows in blog posts. I still have not decided to jump on the bandwagon of Twittering which can be added to the blog. Thankfully you can help with resolving the question, twitter? Yes or No? Do you twitter, what is your honest opinion of getting updates on the "toy of the day" Jettie throws in the toilet?  Would you want to see pictures of our weekly trip to our CSA? Your thoughts mean so much and will be the ultimate decision maker!

Lizzy and Eli are simply the best, although Chicago is one of my favorite cities (the food, the shopping, the museums, again the food) I've never had the opportunity to drive around and see the awesome sites and pockets of city life, that's not until spending the morning with these two as my guides and general source of laughter. 

Unfortunately Eli had ACL surgery a few weeks ago, hence all the driving, but no worries, Eli's goal exactly 6 months from the date of his surgery is to do the splits on the dance floor for the wedding day. I'm holding you to it Eli;)

No doubt, favorite.

Lots of Katie pictures, I couldn't help it because she is breathtaking.

The place where it all started. Katie and Don toured together and worked at The Fox...I can't top the best man's toast so I'll simply say, Katie and Don thought about each other all the time after the tour was finished and they are simply meant to be together.

It was really cold and rained most of the wedding day but Katie and Don, along with everyone that was a part of their big day were so awesome it never showed. The umbrella does give the weather away in this one.

If Katie and Don meeting at The FOX didn't tip you off all ready, this couple is dramatic and I loved every moment.
